• Microphone and Audio Data: To enable the voice calling feature between connected friends, the Service requires access to your device's microphone. Audio data is transmitted securely in real-time solely to facilitate the call; we do not record or store your voice conversations on our servers.

• Location Data: We collect your precise or approximate location data to enable filtering and displaying other profiles, local activities, and events based on distance (kilometer radius). This data is processed only while the app is active in the foreground.

3. Use of Data

We use your personal data to:

• Provide and improve the app’s matching and distance-based filtering functionality.

• Manage user accounts and enable secure login.

• Allow communication (text chat, voice calls) between matched users and activity groups.

• Ensure community safety by moderating user-generated content.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Safety

spotmate allows users to create and share content such as profiles, photos, and messages.

To ensure a safe environment:

• Users must be 18 years or older.

• Users can report inappropriate or abusive behavior.

• Users can unmatch or block others, preventing further communication.

• Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours and, if necessary, removed.

• Repeated offenders will be banned from the app.

By submitting UGC, you grant spotmate a non-exclusive license to display and manage your content within the app as described in this policy.

5. Advanced Moderation, Reporting, and Penalties

To maintain a safe community, spotmate utilizes a structured moderation system consisting of Administrators and Moderators within local and global activity groups.

• Blocking: Users can block any profile. When you block a user, a mutual block is established: both parties become permanently invisible to each other across all sections of the app (including direct messages and profile discovery).

• Group Moderation: Group Administrators and Moderators have the authority to mute, kick, or permanently ban users who violate our community guidelines within activity chats.

• Banning Consequences: If a user is banned from a group, their activity data within that context will be deleted. If an Administrator lifts the ban, the user can rejoin as a regular member, but their previous message history within that group remains permanently deleted..

6. Premium Services and In-App Purchases

The Service offers voluntary Premium features, including profile and activity boosting, extended voice call durations, direct messaging capabilities, and real-time message translation.

• Payment Processing: All financial transactions, subscriptions, and in-app purchases are securely processed and managed entirely by third-party platforms (Apple App Store In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing). spotmate does not collect or store your financial information on its servers.

• Premium Translations: If you utilize our Premium translation feature within chats, text data may be processed through secure third-party translation service providers. This text data is handled pseudonymously and strictly for the purpose of rendering the translation.

7. Invitation Links and QR Codes

The Service allows users to share activities and invite others using custom deep links and QR codes. When you generate or interact with an invitation link or QR code, our system processes the unique invitation token solely to connect your account into the corresponding activity or event group.

8. Data Tracking and Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the Service. Google AdMob may collect and use pseudonymous data (such as your device's advertising identifier, device type, and IP address) to deliver advertisements.

• For iOS Users: In compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, we will request your explicit permission via a system prompt before tracking your activity for advertising purposes. You can modify your tracking preferences at any time through your iOS device settings.

• For Android Users: Google AdMob utilizes the Google Advertising ID in accordance with Google Play policies. You can opt-out of personalized ads via your Android device settings.

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the core functionalities of the Service. You have the absolute right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.

You can instantly trigger a permanent deletion of your profile, photos, matches, and messages directly through the Account Settings within the app, or by requesting deletion via email at senbeno9000@gmail.com. Upon account deletion, all your personal information is permanently removed from our databases.

10. Data Security

We use secure methods and encryption to protect your data. While we strive for full protection, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

spotmate is strictly intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
